⁴ Now the rabble^[a] among them fell victim to their desires again, and the people of Israel said, “Who will give us meat to eat? ⁵ We remember the fish we ate freely in Egypt, along with the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. ⁶ But now our strength is fading away, all we ever see is this manna.”
